A swath of suede fringe on the back of the boot shaft or a subtle dose of fur placed inside the inner lip of a Mou makes a statement that, though they’re influenced by mocs’ past, they have a whole new attitude. Elements of traditional moccasin design like fringe, stitching and tawny fur still have a place on Mou’s boots, though their application gets a decidedly modern twist. While Mou’s boots are certainly contemporary, they still retain some of the organic flavor of the original moccasin offerings. Go full-glamour in a mirror-like silver with gleaming stitching, or tone it down with a subtly shiny anthracite. What could be more futuristic than shiny metallics? A silver moccasin indulges your childhood fantasy of being an astronaut and adds an eye-catching glimmer to your look. This unusual shape makes them suited for pairing with skinny jeans and leggings, which highlight their broad base. Mou’s boots, however, rest on a moon boot-like flatform that give you an inch or two of height while upping the fashion factor on these otherwise bohemian boots. Most moccasin-style boots are completely flat, allowing you to feel the earth beneath your feet. Add a pair to your wardrobe to ascend to new style heights. Mou’s signature moc boots take this earthy staple and take it straight into the stratosphere with astronaut-like shapes and futuristic finishes. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of owning a pair of moccasin-style boots, you know that the benefits are manifold-they’re a casual, comfortable shoe option that lends a groovy 70s-inspired touch to anything you wear.
