![]() But i would advise committing to a build before buying legendary engraving books way down the line since its expensive af. Based on some top KR reapers, they advise Hunger if you are new then once you become more experienced you can later switch to Moon. You can test both builds in Trixion before committing. In the end, its an assassin class so both have high mobility compared to most other classes and the highest mobility out of all assassin classes. This class demands perfection pretty much.Įither way, both do overall relative equal damage with Moon probably ahead theoretically with perfect dps uptime, but if you are a new player, your uptime will probably not be that high because you haven’t learned the attack patterns of all the bosses in this game. I consider myself a really experienced raider in this game and this class is the only one i have to focus alot to not mess up because you will absolutely get owned for one singular misstep - which i like because my other characters are my chill ones where i can shut off my brain and zone out. Reaper gets gate-kept because its the most squishy assassin class and arguably overall in the game besides gunslinger, and you will get one or two shot by bosses in raids and get made fun of aka “floor pov or grey screen enjoyer”. I eventually switched all my assassin classes to swift builds because of my Hunger spec swift reaper. And trust me, its hella easy to miss your skills in this game with how spastic bosses are sometimes. I have a spec crit surge death blade that had insane damage when played perfectly, but you miss one skill and lose like all your dps burst. This game and its end game raids are based on doing mechanics correctly and dodging lethal attacks. I usually enjoy that type of play style cuz big crit numbers=feels good man, but this game is different tbh. You have to basically play perfectly with Moon to take advantage of its high burst window, so it has a high skill ceiling. There are many instances where there will be an entire raid wipe because you died. Bosses will zoom around, do wide aoe attacks that require to you reposition or die, jump on top of you, hook you, cc you, and turn front to back constantly. With all the mechanics and attacks going on, mobility is everything. And whales will always out-damage you so its pointless. There is no parsing in this game so it doesnt matter. I play all the assassin classes and personally switched them to all swiftness builds because its way more enjoyable than doing huge deeps. You should play the build which you find more fun. Hunger is alot more forgiving since you can use its mobility skills to reposition for back attacks and escape boss attacks that would have killed you, but Moon has higher damage but you give up mobility. Lolįor trash mobs it doesnt matter which build, you just one or two shot them all, its easy content. ![]() TLDR at the bottom if you dont want to read this word vomit. You can set engravings and other things to the max as well. You can test it yourself by going to trixion and setting 1100/1100 for hunger or 500/1600 for lunar and see what the dps for both is over a period of time like 2 minutes. So if your group is outgearing the boss, lunar will likely perform better, and if you're not, hunger will likely perform better. If your whole group is very strong, a burst damage pattern will always outperform a continuous damage patten, even if the continuous damage dealer is doing very high dps. The DPS windows are longer the worse your group is. Swiftness with ambush master and spec with raid captain are very cheap comparatively. This is also the reason that lunar floor of 5x3 is very very expensive to reach, because you share accessories with many other popular ceiling classes like deathblow striker, shock scrapper, and surge db. The only two options for lunar are full spec + swift on neck or full spec + crit on neck with 1600 spec and 500 other stat. Hunger tends to split swift/spec 1100/1100 or go full swift 1600/500.
