Longer actions often don’t pay the equivalent amount of shields (actions which require 6 energy only pay two shields), so when possible, skip the longer actions and go for the shorter ones. Do shorter actions that require 2 energy, as they pay 1 shield per action completed. You have to collect shields when you are doing missions in order to complete them. You never know when you can find someone you’ll be able to help out. Often there will be areas that missions won’t take you to right away, but go there anyways and have a look. You can choose from classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto, or newer ones like Elsa, Moana, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, and many more. Get to know the whole area so that you know immediately where to go when you have a mission to do, and where to look for people that you can help out. One of the main attractions of Disney Crossy Road is the huge roster of characters that you can unlock and play with. Just like Crossy Road before it, there are a ton of secret characters in this game, and more of them are being unlocked all the time. You’ll earn free gems every so often through actions completed in the game. Disney Crossy Road is loaded with characters from the Disney world, be it Mickey and friends, or specific movies such as Tangled and Toy Story, and even rides such as the Haunted Mansion. Another use for them, though, and a far more permanent one, is to purchase premium outfits in the in-game store using your gems. It’s a short-term waste of gems to purchase more energy with them, since cheating and time management will give you all of the energy that you need. Gems are the premium currency of the game. Read on for some tips and tricks for Disney’s Descendants!Įvery action that you complete in this game uses energy, and when your energy runs out, you either have to pay to get more energy using gems, or simply wait it out for the energy to return. This game plays much like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, as you walk around campus and other areas completing various missions, talking to people, buying outfits and helping people out. Descendants is the official mobile game of Disney’s Descendants, a Disney Channel original movie about the children of famous heroes and villains from the Disney mythos. Ninja Mode and Beach Mode both provide amusing diversions in the form of reskinned enemies and bosses with a few altered environmental objects. The other way, and our favorite by far, that Ghost Squad wrings extra enjoyment out of its three levels is with two special modes designed for maximum hilarity. Honestly, there's not much to say about the Wii controls because, thankfully, they simply work as you'd expect. The Wii remote is accurate and can be easily calibrated if that accuracy degrades within the game's menus. We found that using the Wii Remote in place of a genuine lightgun was not as uncomfortable as we'd imagined, given that the grip is more similar to a Star Trek phaser than a real gun. Seriously though, the three levels that come packed into the game are not short, so while the initial appearance would seem to indicate a lack of content, the opposite is actually more accurate.īut all of that content would be fairly worthless if the game didn't feel right. Wait, we know what you're thinking, "three levels, that's nothing!" Well, you'd be right in nearly every other title, but Ghost Squad squeezes a surprising amount of replayability out of these three supposedly measly missions.Īs mentioned above, each level has about three to six different branches you can take through it, and, when you start mixing them up, calculating the various permutations could result in severe disorientation, nausea, loss of appetite and bedwetting. There are no prickly moral dilemmas or intricate character development options, although you do get to choose which route to take through each of the game's three levels and you can unlock a wide variety of weapons (which don't really the alter gameplay in a radical way). As a classically arcadey light-gun game, your only concern while playing is shooting the bad guys on the screen with your Wii remote. Ghost Squad is about reflexes and skill, specifically as they impact your itchy trigger finger. Ghost Squad is analogous to "Predator" in that you don't need to pay that much attention when people are talking, because that's simply not what the experience hinges on. Remember the Arnold flick "Predator"? (Of course you do, you're reading GameSpy, so your taste must be impeccable in every aspect of your life, including cinema.) That film, in retrospect, is not the peak of theatrical excellence in terms of its script or writing yet somehow, it still manages to be awesome. Add in multiplayer for up to four people, and you've got a comically excellent (if extremely one-track-minded) party game. The dialog is quite literally ridiculous and the storyline is utterly nonsensical fortunately, neither of these things are required for what is essentially a fun light-gun game torn straight out of a glitzy Akihabara arcade. No, AM2 typically goes right for the throat in an effort to pry quarters from arcade-goers' tightly clenched fists, so Ghost Squad may strike you as a little cheesy. Sega's AM2 has been one of the most prolific arcade developers in the business, but it's never really been too terribly concerned with providing realistic experiences. But i would advise committing to a build before buying legendary engraving books way down the line since its expensive af. Based on some top KR reapers, they advise Hunger if you are new then once you become more experienced you can later switch to Moon. You can test both builds in Trixion before committing. In the end, its an assassin class so both have high mobility compared to most other classes and the highest mobility out of all assassin classes. This class demands perfection pretty much.Įither way, both do overall relative equal damage with Moon probably ahead theoretically with perfect dps uptime, but if you are a new player, your uptime will probably not be that high because you haven’t learned the attack patterns of all the bosses in this game. I consider myself a really experienced raider in this game and this class is the only one i have to focus alot to not mess up because you will absolutely get owned for one singular misstep - which i like because my other characters are my chill ones where i can shut off my brain and zone out. Reaper gets gate-kept because its the most squishy assassin class and arguably overall in the game besides gunslinger, and you will get one or two shot by bosses in raids and get made fun of aka “floor pov or grey screen enjoyer”. I eventually switched all my assassin classes to swift builds because of my Hunger spec swift reaper. And trust me, its hella easy to miss your skills in this game with how spastic bosses are sometimes. I have a spec crit surge death blade that had insane damage when played perfectly, but you miss one skill and lose like all your dps burst. This game and its end game raids are based on doing mechanics correctly and dodging lethal attacks. I usually enjoy that type of play style cuz big crit numbers=feels good man, but this game is different tbh. You have to basically play perfectly with Moon to take advantage of its high burst window, so it has a high skill ceiling. There are many instances where there will be an entire raid wipe because you died. Bosses will zoom around, do wide aoe attacks that require to you reposition or die, jump on top of you, hook you, cc you, and turn front to back constantly. With all the mechanics and attacks going on, mobility is everything. And whales will always out-damage you so its pointless. There is no parsing in this game so it doesnt matter. I play all the assassin classes and personally switched them to all swiftness builds because its way more enjoyable than doing huge deeps. You should play the build which you find more fun. Hunger is alot more forgiving since you can use its mobility skills to reposition for back attacks and escape boss attacks that would have killed you, but Moon has higher damage but you give up mobility. Lolįor trash mobs it doesnt matter which build, you just one or two shot them all, its easy content. TLDR at the bottom if you dont want to read this word vomit. You can set engravings and other things to the max as well. You can test it yourself by going to trixion and setting 1100/1100 for hunger or 500/1600 for lunar and see what the dps for both is over a period of time like 2 minutes. So if your group is outgearing the boss, lunar will likely perform better, and if you're not, hunger will likely perform better. If your whole group is very strong, a burst damage pattern will always outperform a continuous damage patten, even if the continuous damage dealer is doing very high dps. The DPS windows are longer the worse your group is. Swiftness with ambush master and spec with raid captain are very cheap comparatively. This is also the reason that lunar floor of 5x3 is very very expensive to reach, because you share accessories with many other popular ceiling classes like deathblow striker, shock scrapper, and surge db. The only two options for lunar are full spec + swift on neck or full spec + crit on neck with 1600 spec and 500 other stat. Hunger tends to split swift/spec 1100/1100 or go full swift 1600/500. So far, they have not found a flyby opportunity closer than a million kilometers (620,000 miles) - more than twice the distance between the Earth and the Moon. The only opportunity to visit an outer moon could come as the probes enter the system.īonnie Buratti, the deputy project scientist for Europa Clipper, said that her team was conducting an analysis to see if Clipper’s inbound trajectory could be nudged to send it past an outer moon. Two new spacecraft will arrive at the planet in the coming years: NASA’s Europa Clipper in 2030, and the European Space Agency’s JUICE one year later.īoth spacecraft must be injected into precise orbits that will allow them to study Jupiter’s inner moons. Many scientists would love to get an up-close look at one of Jupiter’s outer moons. Sheppard said about half of the new moons are big enough to get names. Only after a year of observations will the Minor Planet Center recognize them, and only objects wider than a kilometer will get names. “But by that time, you might not have a precise enough moon orbit known, and thus are not able to easily find them again,” Sheppard said.īoth Jupiter and Saturn have candidate moons that are discovered and cataloged, but not formally recognized. Some moons disappear until their orbits carry them to a more favorable viewing location. But even with a 6.5-meter (21-feet) diameter mirror enlisted for the hunt, tracking small moons next to Jupiter’s glare is a challenge. The candidate moon has to be re-observed weeks, months, and even years after its initial discovery, until its orbit is known with certainty.įor that, the team turns to the Magellan Telescopes at the Las Campanas Observatory in Chile. “At some point during the year, the planets will be at the right location at the right time,” said Sheppard.Ī new point of light moving near Jupiter does not automatically get awarded moon status. Scott Sheppard, a faculty member at the Carnegie Institution for Science, Earth and Planets Laboratory in Washington, D.C., is part of a team looking for dwarf planets beyond Pluto. The scientists that found the 12 new moons of Jupiter weren’t looking for them at all, in a manner of speaking. While a spacecraft uses thrusters, small moons entering Jupiter’s orbit could have relied on timely encounters with an ice giant or drag from gas left over from the planet’s formation. Just like a spacecraft approaching a planet, a moon must slow down to enter orbit. How Jupiter captured these moons is a mystery. That means they could be examples of small worlds from the planet’s original neighborhood. The parent bodies of the retrograde moons were likely free-flying worlds, possibly from the primitive Kuiper Belt, captured by Jupiter’s gravity long ago. That means they may contain the recipe of elements that formed the gas giant billions of years ago. Most of these outer moons formed from collisions that chipped small fragments off of larger parent moons in the same orbit. The parent bodies of the prograde moons likely formed in place with Jupiter. Jupiter’s outer moons fall into two categories: prograde moons, which orbit closer to Jupiter and in the same direction as the planet’s rotation, and retrograde moons, which orbit farther from Jupiter and in the opposite direction as the planet’s rotation. They are instead members of the planet’s irregular satellites - comparatively small outer moons with distant, atypical orbits. Jupiter’s new moons are not as large and flashy as the Galilean moons Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Moreover, the building also uses a unique heating and cooling system based on two 129-meters-deep wells that connect to an aquifer that stores and distributes energy through a network of cables in the roof of each floor, thus consuming considerably less energy than regular heating and cooling systems. This situation is possible thanks to its over 6 000 square meters of solar panels on its roof, south-facing walls, as well as some in colliding infrastructures. The Edge’s state-of-the-art technology allows the building to have a positive energy balance, in other words, the building can produce more energy than it consumes.
